 Monday Madness 1. Do you make New Year's resolutions? If so, what is your most important one? I don't make promises that I know that I can't keep, so I don't make new years resolutions. 2. Easter is coming. Many Christians give up something for Lent. Do you give something up for any reason (or season)? What is it this year? For much the same reason as given above, I don't give anything up for lent... 3. Do you watch the Super Bowl? If so, do you watch it with a group? If not, what do you do while the game is on? Anything special? When the Steelers are in the Super Bowl, I will watch. Since they are not this year, it doesn't really matter. I probably will watch anyway this year, as my current health situation doesn't afford me much other excitement until I can walk... 4. Would you miss Monday Madness if it stopped permanently? To quit fucking worrying about EVERYTHING, 'cos there is not a damned thing I can do right now. As Doris Day said so eloquently, "Que será, será!" The problem is that no amount of music, conversation, whatever seems to be able to shut my racing mind down once I get started. I'm not one for drugs, so somebody PLEASE, I need alcohol. EVERYBODY liked them... What were your favorite songs they did? Help!, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, She Loves You.... These are the songs of theirs that I remember singing the most when I was a kid. Do you still like them today? Why or Why not? Of course I still love The Beatles! The songs of theirs that I prefer may have changed as I grew older, but seriously... Monday Madness Yay! Monday Madness is back! 1. Did you make any resolutions this year? Nope. I don't believe in making promises that I can't keep, especially if they are to myself! 2. If so, which one do you think you'll really stick to? If not, is there something you're going to try harder to accomplish? Hmmm.. ask me this again in a month or so. I'm not in a position to accomplish much of anything on my own right now, except perhaps for writing a bit more music.... 3. Do you have a fear of any small rodents/insects/etc? If so, please share. I'm not all too fond of any of the critters mentioned, but I don't fear them. After all I am bigger. For those of you who fear spiders, check out this song! 4. Share something exciting that's going on in your life. I can in all honesty say that there is absolutely NOTHING exciting going on in my life right now. I'm stuck in this injury induced prison for four more weeks. Can't go anyplace or do much more than sit in front of the computer chatting, blogging, and playing games. Obviously, I would take it as this pretty well describes my Current employment, at least for most of the year... 2. Do you have a "one that got away" in your past romantic life? I have several, doesn't everybody? The one I regret losing the most is named Brian...or wait... maybe it's Stephan... 3. What is one job you would never take, no matter how much they paid you? I would never take any job that would require me to harm an animal... 4. What behaviour is completely unacceptable in someone you're dating? Physical abuse, try it and it will be reciprocated! 5. Have you ever dated a co-worker? No, but I have fantasized about it... Still being married kinda got in the way of me actually doing it! 6. Have you ever been sexually harrassed, witnessed someone get sexually harrassed, or had a friend be sexually harrassed in the workplace? No, but I'm a highly tolerant person. I have put up with some things that others might consider to be harassment. 7. The opposite of #3 ... aside from being paid to loaf around and relax on a beach somewhere (or your lazy activity of choice), what's your dream job? Being a musical partner and life partner to Michael Schenker. 8. My new boss was totally shitty to me this week "on principle," and even snapped at me quite bitchily; my colleagues were horrified. You have the support of your colleagues, but not your boss ... you love your job - what do you do? I'd go with with what I believed to be right. He/she may be the boss, but there is strength in numbers so long as I could count on my colleagues' support.

I AM SO FREAKING BORED! In honor of this fact, my thirteen for the week is: Thirteen things that I'd rather be doing right now 1. Making sweet love to Michael Schenker. 2. Consuming massive quantities of alcohol. Vodka or tequila would be good. 3. Working on the music for Sometimes The Angels. 4. Playing with my big stupid dog. 5. Watching Mew do her famous "kitty bounce." 6. Taking digital photos of something interesting or boring, it doesn't really matter. 7. Taking a long soak in a tub of scented bubbles. 8. Cooking up some interesting treat that I found in a recipe book. 9. Eating the aforementioned treat! 10. Completing multiple circuits a Curves. 11. Watching a really good (or bad, it doesn't matter) movie at the theater. 12. Sitting in my own living room. 13. Shopping at Wal Mart! Damn! I'm bored and frustrated!

I can't honestly say how long it has been since I listened to a cassette tape. I've had an adapter for my old car stereo for at least two years, so I know it has been at least that long... When was the last time you listened to a vinyl album? Not as long ago as you'd think. I still have a working turntable on an old stereo at home. I was listening to some old vinyl albums just a month or so ago. And I listened to this old favorite earlier this year as well...  When was the last time you watched a video (either Mtv, Vh-1 or on a DVD or VHS)? When I was making some icons for a friend from George Harrison's This Song video a few months ago...  What was the last online music purchase you made? I purchased this CD just this past Saturday on Ebay...  Lights Out - UFO Of course, I haven't received it yet!  Manic Monday Have You Ever? Feel free to expand on your answer beyond yes or no! Have you ever refused to tip a waiter or waitress? No, not leaving a tip doesn't get the point across as well as leaving a tiny tip. After all, if I leave no tip, I could just be forgetful... Have you ever been on a hayride? Sadly, no. Not with my kids nor when I was a kid... Maybe someday... Have you ever driven a vehicle faster than 100 mph? Not that I recall. I generally start to get nervous at around 85mph and slow down!

I am trapped in an injury imposed HELL for the next six weeks, therefore this week's thirteen is: Thirteen reasons why I may go insane before these six weeks are over 1. Although I have quit smoking, I didn't really want to! 2. I am a very cold person by nature and this house is NOT climate controlled. It is heated by a coal furnace. 3. I want to soak in a freaking bath tub!!!!! 4. Insurance forms! 5. Cabin fever! The only time I've been outside these four walls was for my doctor's appointment on Tuesday. 6. The unreliable wireless internet connect here. It seems to go out mostly when clicking links that say publish or post! 7. I miss my big stupid dog! 8. Ditto for my two squalloring kitties! 9. I only have ONE of my guitars here (Rudolf) and NO music. 10. I don't want to get fat again, but eating is about the only pleasurable thing that I can do! 11. I want to flush, dammit!!!! 12. I don't have enough of my clothes here and no one (read: Michael) seems to be able to comprehend which things I need. 13. Having a son who likes to help me get around in my wheelchair is nice, but he thinks that each trip should be something like a ride at Kennywood! Pray for me, PLEASE! Pray that I keep what's left of my sanity.

Take Me Back Tuesday Let's pretend... If you had a time machine: What musical event would you attend that you couldn't have otherwise. I'm going back to the Moscow Peacefest in 1989. Klaus said that there were 100,000 Russians there, and I want to verify his count! If you could save one musician that died tragically, which one would it be and why?  Steve Clark of Def Leppard... I loved him so! If I could go back I would have dragged his ass to an AA meeting on that fateful night so he wouldn't have died because of an interaction between the medication he was taking and the alcohol he drank at a party... If you could go back and influence either radio/or MTV to make one song a hit that wasn't, which one would it be and likewise, if you could make sure one song wasn't a hit, which one would it be and why? First I'm going to convince The Moody Blues to make a video for Don't Need A Reindeer, something incredible. Then I shall use my great influence to make the MTV networks play it until it becomes the biggest Christmas hit EVER! On the other end of the spectrum, I'd make sure that no one ever had to listen to Whitney Houston's cover of I Will Always Love You. Blech!

Manic Monday This and That Do you wear a watch every day? If so, describe it. I used to wear watches all the time, but not anymore. They just don't make 'em like they used to. They're always breaking. If I need to know the correct time I just check my cell phone. Do you wear cologne or perfume? Oh, yes! I love to wear all sorts of scents. I am particularly fond of Calvin Klein's Obsession. What's under your bed? "Remember that thou art dust, and to dust thou shalt return...." Someone is either coming or going under my bed!!! I've found a new meme to pass the time away... 1. When was the last time you were sick, and what ailed you? I honestly can't remember the last time I was sick. I probably just had a cold... 2. Do you wear glasses or contacts to correct your vision? If so, for how long? I'm a bit far-sighted, have been for most of my life. I'm supposed to wear glasses for reading, but the last time I got a decent pair from the eye doctor was 16 years ago. I don't need glasses, I NEED LONGER ARMS!!! 3. A stray dog was found wandering in our neighborhood, which is rare. He was so thin you can see his ribs, spine, and hipbones. We took him in and are searching for the owner, although I really don't want to give him back due to his condition. What would you do if you found the owner of this dog after taking him in? I wouldn't bother looking for that son of a bitch. He mistreated the dog. The dog would just be mine. If said owner showed up and tried to take the pooch back, he'd have a fight on his hands. WITH ME! 4. After putting up "found dog" posters all over, how long would you wait to hear from the old owners before giving him to a new home? A couple of weeks would be more than sufficient if the dog was well cared for. In this case...well...see my previous answer. 5. Would you take the dog to the vet and spend your own money, or would you take him/her to the animal shelter first? Since it has already been determined that I would be keeping the dog, YES, I'd take him to the vet. 6. At this point in your life, if someone offered you a free young dog/cat of a breed/mix that you wanted, would you take it? There is always room in my home and my heart for another pet... 7. Switching gears... a 10-yr. old boy in Texas asked his uncle why Saddam had a noose around his neck after seeing a news feed loop on a spanish-speaking news channel. The uncle explained they were going kill him by hanging, and the boy asked if that's how you kill "bad people." The uncle answered 'yes' and the boy was found later with a bedsheet around his neck hanging from his top bunk. People are saying that he 'mimicked' the hanging; I think he killed himself purposefully. Do you think his death was a suicide or an accident? The boy obviously had issues of which no one was aware. The circumstances seem to indicate that his death was a suicide. 8. A bride in Austria jokingly answered "no" to the question of "do you take this man," causing the official to call off the wedding immediately. Not even the sobbing pleadings of the bride could prompt the official to continue with the wedding. The couple will have to wait 2.5 months before they can marry again. Do you think this was too harsh, that the woman got what she deserved for larking about during such a serious ceremony ... or perhaps she should thank her lucky stars and run for the hills with some hot czech nationals? If she really wanted to be married to that man, she never would have joked in such a manner. Running for the hills with some hot Czech nationals sounds like a good plan to me!
