Name three artists who have covered Elton John songs. It's ranting time! There are certain artists who have styles so uniquely their own tha NO ONE should cover them. In my personal, arrogant opinion, Elton John is one of them. I go out of my way to avoid hearing covers of his songs. It is illegal to cover an Elton John song in "The Land of the Morning Star," (my imaginary homeland, where I write all of the rules). Currently facing charges for violations of this law are George Michael and an unknown artist who provides music for Curves. My deputies are hunting down the second one even as I type this... I know that there are others, but I haven't heard them. They are safe from prosecution... for now.
Bonus - name Sir Elton's collaborative partner - his songwriting partner that is. Elton writes the music, Bernie Taupin writes the lyrics. Unless you're talking The Lion King, then Tim Rice writes the lyrics...
