We're going to take a different track at Theatre Thursday this week.
You've just been hired to write, cast, direct and produce your own movie. You've been given $75 million to hire a cast and crew, and 90 days to shoot. The film is scheduled to open a year and 1/2 from today.
1. What is the name of your movie? Back in the late 70's and early 80's there was a series of porn flicks with titles such as Debby Does Dallas and Debby Does Denver. I have never seen these movies, but since my name is Debby, I took a lot of ribbing about them. With all of this money in hand, I would make a very high budget sequel to these flicks, Debby Does Deutschland ! With a budget like this, why would I want to take on just one city? I'm taking on an entire nation! For those of you who are clueless, Deutschland is German for, well... Germany!
2. Who are the stars you hire? I think that from the title it should be obvious that I'll be starring in this one myself! My co-stars will include, Matthias Jabs, Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and any other hotties that I happen to find over there. I realize that Matthias, Klaus and Rudolf are musicians, not actors, but this movie isn't about acting, now is it?!
3. What is the general plot/style/theme of your dream movie? Filmed entirely on location in Germany, this could possibly be the highest budgeted porn flick ever made. It will tell the tale of a nymphomaniac with a weakness for guys with German accents who finds herself plopped right in the middle of the land of her dreams!
BONUS~ What's one obstacle you see that could prevent you from achieving this dream movie? Jealous wives and/or girlfriends, of course!
