After spending one day of my off time sleeping in and doing basically nothing yesterday, I awoke bright and early this morning with the creative juices really flowing! The most visible of my creative efforts is the addition of my September calendar. I've been to the blogs of plenty of people who display monthly calendars of some sort and I was quite intrigued by them. Some were even offered them freely, requesting only a link back in return, but most were just a bit too cute for my liking. I wondered if I could make one for myself, so I opened my Photo Pro program and discovered that it contained multiple templates for calendar pages! I spent much of this morning perfecting September calendars for this blog, and a few others. I suppose that this is now going to be a new monthly project for me! If you like my calendar and want to use it for yourself, feel free to do so. Linking back to me would be nice, but I won't go screaming into the streets if you don't.
My second project begun is a work of fiction that has been growing in my mind for quite a while. I call it Final Recall , and it is surprisingly a bit of a romantic tale. I haven't decided exactly how I am going to go about posting it yet, as it is still in its early stages. I am open to suggestions about this. It sure did feel good to give those characters who have been living in my head for the past few weeks a bit of release.
I worked up quite an appetite with all of this creativity, so it was off to The Olive Garden with my sister and sons for my first Never Ending Pasta Bowl of the year. I spend eleven months of the year awaiting this event which occurs each September. So many pastas, so many sauces, so little time! I try to get there several times during this event in order to try them all. My reccomendation for today... Whole wheat linguine with roasted garlic alfredo sauce, a true vegetarian treat good enough to satisfy even this hopeless carnivore! Guaranteed to keep away any unwanted vampires! Next trip I think I'll try the four cheese marinara. It looked quite tasty as well.
