Suddenly I feel as though I am back in elementary school doing the annual essay on how I spent my summer vacation!
The very first fun thing that I did this summer was to take my brand spanking new digital camera off to Phipp's Conservatory in Pittsburgh to get some practice using it by taking as many photos as I could of all of the pretty flowers there.
Why did I need all of this practice? Could it be because of my oldest son's high school graduation?
Perhaps partly, but it was mostly because of this year's Great Moody Road Trip!
Down the Pennsylvania turnpike and off to Atlantic City we went! At the end of our journey was the Tropicana Hotel and Casino and of course, Moody Men!
This was to be the second time we saw the Moodies that week. We had seen them a few days earlier in Pittsburgh, but that was a bust because the security people at Chevrolet Amphitheater were all former KGB agents, I think!
The fun did not stop after the Atlantic City trip. On July second it was off to Pittsburgh again, this time to see a production of the musical 1776. Being the stage door lurkers that we are, we got to meet the two major players in the cast, Malcolm Gets and Frank Kopcyk!
Here you see me getting a big hug from Mr. Kopcyk, who played Ben Franklin in the show!
These are just the highlights of my summer vacation. I did other fun things as well, such as seeing my favorite movie, Van Helsing five times!
So many pretty men in a single movie!
That's about it for this year. Maybe next summer I'll be able to flit off to Germany to see these guys in concert...
