It's Saturday Night And I bet you can't guess where I was...
Of all of the many places I could possibly be on this wild and wonderful weekend night, I chose to be in the same place that I have been every weekend for the past four weeks, at the Hollywood Theater watching Drac... I mean Van Helsing! Now, you may be wondering why on earth I would want to be seeing the same movie for four weeks in a row. In response, I give you this.
I realize that under the current standards this movie isn't going to win any Academy Awards, but I've got some suggestions for new categories that would change that. They are as follows:
1. The most sexy men to appear in a single movie 2. Best solo dance in a non-musical 3. Best Romanian accent done by an Australian actor 4. Most stylish portrayal of vampires 5. The most classic horror characters to appear in one movie
With these new categories added, Van Helsing would most certainly be earning pleny of Oscars!
On A More Serious Note
While having dinner after the show, I saw the announcement on TV that former U. S. president, Ronald Reagan ,had passed away at the age of 93. Truly a great and influential man, this film star turned president will be missed by his fellow Americans.
