Name three songs that never fail to make you a little melancholy.
1. Eye To Eye - The Scorpions Klaus and Rudolf's tribute to their deceased fathers is quite lovely. It also brings back memories of those that I have loved and lost. It makes me feel a little sad, but in a good way.
2. Run So Far - George Harrison Actually, any George Harrison song will make me feel sad. I adored George. The thought of him being gone is just something I don't like to face.
3. Taps (Traditional at military funerals) I've only attended one military funeral in my lifetime. It was for someone whom I loved very dearly. Since that day, I have not been able to watch a military funeral of any type, not even as a part of a television program. I have to walk away and blubber! Since this song is such a major part of these funerals, it has the same effect.
Name three artists who never fail to pick you back up.
Name three albums that you were never quite sure why you bought them but they own a little piece of your heart now.
Acoustica - The Scorpions
I bought it on a whim. I paid way too much for it. I don't generally like acoustic albums by metal bands, but this one, well it IS The Scorpions...
Dead Ahead - Wildhorses
When I heard that Scorpios drummer, James Kottak, was doing an album with another goup,I thought, why should I buy that? It's not like he's my favorite band member. I bought it anyway, and I'm not sorry that I did!
The Delivery Man - Elvis Costello and The Imposters
How could a CD that Elvis signed for me not hold a special place in my heart?!
