Today was the last day of our mail count, and it really went out with a BANG!There is hope for my paycheck yet. Still, it didn't make it any easier for me to do my job today, having all sorts of "extra" mail. I'm cranky, so in order to cheer myself, this week's Thursday Thirteen is:
Thirteen Things That Bring Me Joy!
1. The Scorpions - You really didn't think that anything else would be first on my list, did you?
2. Casinoes - Pretty lights and slot machines all in the same place! I try to play the slots recreationally, assuming that I won't win. That way if I do win it brings me extra joy!
3. Vacations - Everybody needs a chance to run away at least once a year.
4. Twelve string guitars - Some guitarists hate them, others love them. I fall into the latter category.
5. Buffets - I may have shrunk myself down to a size 6, but I still enjoy pigging out from time to time.
6. Payday - It makes the frustrations of my job seem worthwhile, if only for a short period of time.
7. My sister - When life gets dull and boring, she can usually come up with something to bring me joy.
8. Presents - Yes, you can buy your way into my heart with gifts. A Gibson Explorer will make me love you forever!
9. Dogs - They are a great source of unconditional love.
10. Being "Moody Bitch - Free" - I'm hoping that given a few monts of not being able to get in here, she will forget about me and move on to harass some other poor soul.
11. Sales - Doesn't everybody get joy from buying stuff cheap?
12. My friends - It wouldn't be very nice if I didn't include them on my list.
13. Alcohol - When all else fails, joy can be artificially induced!
