1. Klaus Meine
There was no doubt that Klaus would be my #1 pick. His sweet, sexy, whine causes me to positively melt. I could never ever choose just one song as his best or my favorite. They're all so damned good. Instead I offer you a selection from The Scorpions' latest album, Unbreakable, which you all should go out and buy immediately!
I've always adored Neil. His ability to do so many different types of music is matched by very few others. One particular song by him is very special to me. It is one of the very first songs that I learned to play on my guitar. Those chords are permanently engraved upon my memory!
This British comedian and star of stage and screen also has one of the most incredible voices that I've ever heard. One of his most famous roles was that of The Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom Of The Opera, but he also performs many other Lloyd Webber tunes in concert (I've seen him twice). This one is one of my favorites...
I'm still in denial over the death of my favorite Beatle. He was a great guitarist, a fantastic singer, prolific songwriter, and overall great guy. He arranged the very first all star benefit concert to help feed the hungry. He kept his sense of humor and faith in God, even when times were rough for him. Because of this, I chose a song that expresses his deep faith as one of his best.
These two come in tied at #5. I could never choose between my two beloved Moody Men! Justin might get all squirrelly and Lodgey might cry. Because of this I choose a song on which they both sing as one of their best.
