On My Very First Day Off...
A trip to Century III Mall, or as Andrea calls it, Hell, was in the cards for me today. Mike wanted some new clothes, and so did I. We were also hankering for some roast beef sandwiches from Arby's. Since said mall has both a Steve and Barry's (all items $7.98 or less) clothing store and an Arby's, it was obviously THE place we needed to go.
Damn! I went on a spending spree!
It all started at Steve and Barry's where I saw this cute little top...
I fell in love with it, but before making the purchase, I decided to see if they had some shorts which matched. The loss of thirty unwanted pounds has left me in desperate need of some shorts that won't fall off! Thankfully they had a pair of green twill shorts that matched it beautifully. After snagging them for myself, I went back for the top. There were several in stock of varying sizes. I check the tags to find one in my size...
What the *#%# is this?!
The tag is in German! Thank god that I know the German words for small, medium, and large!
In addition to this rather interesting purchase, I also got myself another pair of shorts and a matching top, and a whole bag full of clothes for Mike. The total for everything was less than $45. Go me!
We had our lunch at Arby's, and then the spree really began! I stopped in Claire's. How could this guitarist not buy herself a necklace and pair of earrings that are tiny replicas of a black Stratocaster?! And I just HAD to have those copper hoop earrings, and that birthstone bracelet...
Our final stop was the T Mobile kiosk. I wanted to buy a new faceplate for the worn one on my cell phone. When the salesman there saw my ancient Nokia 3390, he flipped. "You've owned that phone since 2002! You're long since qualified for an upgrade!" he exclaimed. He then proceded to make me an offer I couldn't refuse. I am now the proud owner of a brand new Nokia 6010!
On a sad note, my Wind Of Change ringtone did not transfer to the new phone, and T Mobile doesn't offer it for this model of phone. As a matter of fact, they don't offer ANY Scorpions tunes as ringtones for this model of phone. That's downright disappointing, since they're a German based company. Anyway, until I can find a Scorpions ringtone elsewhere, my phone shall be ringing Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me...
Now I'm broke...
