Today was the second of three vacation days that I decided to take during the week after Christmas. It is oh so very nice to have a sub to call my own this year. Thank-you, God, for sending me Randy (even if I don't feel that way when I return to work on Thursday)!
The itinerary for today included an early trip to Curves to work off some of the Christmas goodies that I had eaten and a family outing to dinner and a movie. Now, before you get all excited, I'll tell you that this family outing did not include "the estranged one." We still are not speaking after the Christmas Eve Fiasco. It was instead Michael, Ray, me, and Andrea (who braved bouts of itching to come along. She's allergic to smallchildren, you know!) piling into the car to see Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events.
It was a truly dark and delightful tale which was enjoyed by all of us. I was exceptionally intrigued by the young man who played Klaus Baudelaire, Liam Aiken.
Since the character that he plays is supposed to be twelve, I am assuming that he is probably about fourteen, since actors are usually cast in roles that are younger than they actually are. He's a talented young man, and quite attractive for his age. I'm quite curious to see what he looks like in five years or so. Definitely future concubine material. I'm such a dirty old lady!
Dinner afterwards was had at Bob Evans, where all of us save for Ray, opted for items from the breakfast menu. Yummy! Ray prefers to rid the world of it's abundance of fried fish!
A nice day of family togetherness, it kinda makes me regret having opted to go back to work on Thursday.
