I have seen so many others share their desktops, that I have decided that it is time to show you mine. This one is from my laptop, which I have been using almost exclusively recently.
The display is much the same on my HP desktop computer, despite the fact that it is now running on Windows XP. I loathe that new blue and green color scheme that they made for XP. One of the first things that I did upon installing that god-awful new OS was to set the display to Classic Windows. Yeah, you're reading this correctly. I completely regret updating to XP> That OS is some sort of virus magnet! The damned things creep onto the machine instantaneously, even though I have a firewall and a virus scanner installed. It is a constant battle that I am beginning to feel that I cannot win. If I don't soon get these problems fixed, I'm removing that pain in the arse OS and going back to ME!
My desktop also displays a few of my other computer related quirks. I like my program icons on the right. I am right handed so it makes perfect sense for them to be there, unfortunately my computer does not agree. Every time I install a new program I have to move the icon to the right. Sometimes I just delete them. Who needs all of those desktop shortcuts anyway? That's what the start menu is for! I don't need a bunch of ugly icons defiling my lovely background image of Matthias Jabs!
