What songs make you think of spring break, or make you want to take a spring break. Anything by Jimmy Buffett or The Beach Boys makes me want to head out on a permanent vacation!
Did you ever take a break/vacation just to see a concert? Did you ever want to? Several of my recent vacations have involved seeing The Moody Blues...
Obviously, this was something that I wanted to do...
How far would you travel to see a band? Finances limit me to being able to travel no farther than a few hundred miles. Atlantic City, NJ is the farthest I've travelled to date. I'd go to the ends of the earth to see my favorite bands if money were not an object... What would be your dream spring break concert? Oh, if only the Brothers Schenker would get together and do a US tour...
Of course, I'd probably lapse into a prettiness coma....
1. Do you ever use all caps when typing online messages? Sometimes, for emphasis, but not often.
2. Does it bother you when other people use all caps in their messages? Yes ALL CAPS = SCREAMING
3. Do you use abbreviations (i.e. lol, brb, etc.) when typing email messages or text messages? I do use them occasionally, but only sparingly for emphasis. Used too frequently, these also can be very annoying.
4. Do you ever receive faxes or other correspondence from a professional office that are typed in all caps? If so, what do you think of that? Yes, I have. Probably because some pencil pushing moron in the USPS didn't know how to turn off the 'caps lock'.
5. Do you rely on the computer program to catch your typing errors, or do you proofread your material before sending it out? If I'm not certain of a spelling, I may use a program, but it's usually pointless. Spell check hates proper names and foreign words and seldom ever gives good suggestions for words that I've really misspelled! Mostly I proofread myself... Yeah, lots of silly typos get by me, just so you'll know that I'm human!
10 songs that sum up your weekend...or were on your weekend playlist...and one picture that relates back. (oh, and if you feel like it, tell us why you picked the songs you did)
It's finally on my feet week. This is my music of celebration...
1. Rockin' Horse - Bad English 2. The Ride - Michael Schenker Group 3. After All - Cher & Peter Cetera 4. Brainwashed - George Harrison 5. Mr. Scary - Dokken 6. Run To The Hills - Iron Maiden 7. Judgement Day - Whitesnake 8. When The Smoke Is Going Down - Scorpions 9. The Story In Your Eyes - The Moody Blues 10. Long, Long Time - Linda Ronstadt
An interesting mix of much of the music that I like this week.
And now for the picture...
It's the official black and gold version of Eat 'n Park's Smiley cookie... Anyubody got any guesses about where Lady Starlight had her dinner today?
1. Wine: Which do you prefer ... reds or whites, or perhaps something different, like a dessert/ice wine? I prefer white fruity wimes, but quite truthfully, I've never met a wine that I didn't like!
2. Beer: What kind of beer, if any, do you prefer? I just discovered an interesting new brew today, made by the Abita Brewery in America, called Purple Haze, a wheat brew with a touch of raspberry. Yummy!
3. Spirits: Are you a hard-liquor drinker? if so, what kind(s)? if not, why not? I've always had a reputation for being a human booze disposal unit. Vodka and tequila are my favorite hard liquours, but I'm game for anything. This addictive personality is always hopping on and off the wagon, and doesn't even much care anymore...
4. My wine bar opens in a few weeks, and The Husband thinks I have too many people to invite to the grand opening. Should I brown-nose and keep my bosses on the guest list, or should I forget them and just stick with my good friends (the bosses will probably overhear people talking about the opening). It's always a good idea to keep the bosses happy (even if they are the biggest morons on the planet). I'd invite them to avoid any hard feelings.
5. When you drink alcohol (or in the past, if you are currently a non-drinker), what types of snacks or foods do you like to have while you drink ... and are their certain 'pairings' you prefer? I like a little bit of cheese to go with my wine, and it's nice to have a big thick pretzel with a beer, but it is not absolutely necessary.
6. Are you going to watch the Oscars this weekend? Why or why not? I never watch award shows, because I don't believe that the awards are given to people who truly deserve them. I also hate listening to long, self-serving acceptence speeches...
7. Are you interested in any of the red carpet styles that happen at awards shows? Only if there is something there that is so hideously ugly that everyone there bursts into fits of hysterical laughter upon seeing it....
8. Even if it involves resurrecting Jim Morrison or Bob Marley from the dead, which musical artist/group would you die to see live? I don't have to resurrect anyone, I just have to get somebody to pay his back child support...
1. Saturday In The Park - Chicago Because the park finally opens on Saturday in the spring!
2. Where The River Flows - Scorpions The river often flows over its banks in spring!
3. Here Comes The Sun - The Beatles Springtime sunshine, YAY!
4. Another Day In Paradise - Phil Collins At the end of winter, each warm day of spring feels like a day in paradise!
5. Age Of Ice - Michael Schenker Group "The age of ice is over, I feel it slippin' away!"

Home At Last!
At least for a little while!
I've missed my Lady, and my Princess PP, and my Mew. I've missed my desktop computer. I'm so happy right now that I could just cry!
Excuse me, but I've gotta go on the move now...
JUST BECAUSE I CAN!!!

Hump Day Hunt
It's time for the weekly photo meme from the folks at Foto Pherrets
Mama pherret (who could she be?!) is semi-back on her feet.
In celebration of this fact our word is:
Walk
This is the Absecon Lighthouse in Atlantic City, New Jersey...
Here are a couple of views to the spiral staircase inside...
It is a very long walk to the top of the lighthouse and back down again!

Who Cares?!
Okay, I'm barely up on my feet today, but I'm hopping!
If you do not care about me or this, then go the fuck away, no one will miss you. But don't be saying that no one cares about me, because I have plenty of REAL friends and family members who do. We know what ot means to help love and support one another through good times and bad. We may get angry with each other from time to time, but we forgive...
And so I would like to take the time to thank some of my friends, who although they may not be vocal here, are always there for me when I need them....
THANK YOU
Samantha, Maria, Marius, Firaas, Julie, Liz, Tina, Aimee, Rachel, Lisa, and of course, my best friend, Andrea, my sister.
With all of these good friends, I really have no need to care what some bored blogstalking moron thinks of me.
If you could rewrite one pivotal moment in history, good or bad, to make a change, which moment would that be AND what are some of the consequences that you believe might come from that change? Quite frankly, I'd be afraid to change any moment in history, good or bad. I believe that everything happens for a reason and if we changed the events of the past, important lessons would be lost. Much better to try to change the future than the past!
What's the most unusual hobby you have? How did you get started with it? I guess that a lot of people might consider my songwriting to be an unusual hobby, although I consider it to be neither unusual nor a hobby... I've been composing music and lyrics since I was a teenager, perhaps even longer than that, but I didn't start writing them down until I was about 13. I'm not sure how I got started, I think it just came naturally....
Name one thing for each of the following: Favorite smell, texture, view, sound, taste.
Smell - I'd have to divide this into two categories, food & non-food. In the food related category, I adore the smell of anything cooking that contains garlic. YES, I said garlic! As for non-food related scents, I adore the smell of freshly mown grass. It may make me sneeze, but I love it anyway!
Texture - Nothing feels quite as nice as the fur of a cute cuddly kitty.... Like my Mew!
View - I could look at this all day!
Sound - Refer to the picture above... That man playing the guitar that he is holding, or any guitar for that matter!
10 songs that sum up your weekend...or were on your weekend playlist...and one picture that relates back. (oh, and if you feel like it, tell us why you picked the songs you did)
I was in a very Michael mood for what is hopefully my last weekend off my feet...
1. UFO – Doctor Doctor 2. Schenker-Pattison Summit – Rock Steady 3. Michael Schenker Group – Journey Man 4. Michael Schenker Group – Voice Of My Heart 5. UFO – Rock Bottom 6. Michael Schenker – Achtung Fertig, los 7. UFO – Love To Love 8. Michael Schenker Group – Rock My Nights Away 9. Schenker-Pattison Summit – I'm Losing You 10. Schenker-Pattison Summit – Wang Dang Doodle
And in keeping with my very Michael theme....
Here is the picture...
Michael is looking just too damned cute in this photo!

About Michael #3
There are just too damned many Michaels in my life. This blogthing is dedicated to the one that I haven't seen for a while and would really enjoy having out of my life permanently...
Your Boss Isn't Psycho, but Your Boss Stinks
Your boss is probably not mental. Still, your boss is not competent or professional. You may want to transfer departments or get a new job, before your boss sucks out your soul.
The Meme Mistress is still in a rather loopy Valentine's Day mood.
Top Five Sexy Lyrics.... and tell us why you find 'em sexy
1. Rhythm Of Love - Scorpions "The rhythm of love keeps me dancing on the road The rhythm of love has got the groove that hits the bone..." Sexy or just plain dirty, does it really matter?
2. I Want You To Want Me - Cheap Trick "I want you to want me I need you to need me I love you to love me..." You can't get much sexier than that!
3. No One Like You - Scorpions "There's no one like you I can't wait for the nights with you I imagine the things that you do..." Ooooo....The things that you do!
4. I'm Gonna Make You Mine - Michael Schenker Group Just hearing Michael introduce a song with this title (and lyrics) causes me to melt to a quivering pile of mush!
5. All Night - Def Leppard Hmmm... Sexy lyrics or just all of those orgasmic sounds that Joe Elliot makes while singing that he wants to do it all night...? No matter, it's damned sexy!

I Match!
It would appear from this quiz that my brain blends in quite well with my template...
Your Brain is Purple
Of all the brain types, yours is the most idealistic. You tend to think wild, amazing thoughts. Your dreams and fantasies are intense. Your thoughts are creative, inventive, and without boundaries.
You tend to spend a lot of time thinking of fictional people and places - or a very different life for yourself.
What songs remind you of your first "real" boyfriend? I don't know how much of a "real" boyfriend Gregg was... He lied to me about his marital status... But he is the first boyfriend that I associate a song with. Also a guitarist, he was one of the very few people allowed to touch my guitars. He would always play and sing Del Shannon's Runaway for me. To this day, I can't hear that song without thinking of him...
Did you ever have a song that was considered "your song" when you were part of a couple or now? No, I'd never ruin a song by associating it with a relationship... Songs are forever Relationships are not!
If you could dedicate one song to someone you love, what song would it be? OK, you asked for it...
Here are the lyrics to the song that I wrote for Michael Schenker...
Sometimes The Angels
It's a cold heartless world where you live All around you people take until there's nothing left to give They just don't understand what's the cost A broken heart and shattered dreams, your innocence is lost No one ever stops to ask you why And sometimes even the angels will cry
Sometimes even the angels may fall Crashing down To the ground While others have it all Sometimes even the angels will cry Unforgiven are their sins On broken wings they fly Sometimes even the angels may fall...
It seems that there's no love to be found And for every up you get someone always brings you down It seems such a high price to pay Lonely nights and empty promises, your dreams have gone astray Your heart seems so empty again But sometimes even the angels feel pain
Sometimes even the angels may fall Crashing down To the ground While others have it all Sometimes even the angels will cry Unforgiven are their sins On broken wings they fly Sometimes even the angels may fall...
What you need doesn't seem to be there You're only looking for some love but no one seems to care No one ever gives what you need A bit of love and forgiveness to happiness would lead Easier it is to run away But sometimes even the angels must pay
Sometimes even the angels may fall Crashing down To the ground While others have it all Sometimes even the angels will cry Unforgiven are their sins On broken wings they fly Sometimes even the angels may fall...
Aren't you glad that this isn't an audio post?!
In your opinion, who writes the best love songs. Michael Schenker, because when he writes on his own there are no sappy lyrics to spoil the beautiful music!
1. How do you celebrate Valentine's Day? By hoping and praying that it ends as quickly and painlessly as possible. Valentine's Day is a farce created by the greeting card and jewelry people to increase sales. The Catholic church has declared St. Valentine to be a LEGEND. February 14 is the feast day of Sts. Cyril & Methodious, two Slovakian bishops.....
2. Name a special gift you received during Valentine's Day. Let's see... One year I went out for dinner on Valentine's Day and came home to find a water main break in front of my house! Does that count...?
3. Define Love using each letter: L.O.V.E.
L - Loyalty to someone in spite of his or her faults. O - Openeness about your deepest thoughts and feelings... V - Values the relationship more than anything else. E - Emotional bond that withstands the worst of trials...
Perhaps I expect too much from love, that is why I do not find it...

More random musical selections to relieve boredom... Just a little bit longer until the boredom ends (9 days)...
1. The Mess I've Made - Michael Schenker Group 2. Breath Away From Heaven - George Harrison 3. Nobody Told Me - John Lennon 4. I Didn't Mean To Turn You On - Robert Palmer 5. Peaches And Diesel - Eric Clapton 6. Hanging On The Telephone - Def Leppard 7. Told You For The Last Time - Eric Clapton 8. Attack Of The Mad Axeman - Michael Schenker Group 9. Show Me The Way - Styx 10. Always With Me, Always With You - Joe Satriani
Ah, so many weird mixes, so little time!
And now for the (weird) picture...

This Is Just Silly!
But it's the latest Blogthing, so I'm obliged to post it somewhere!
This Friday's Top 5 is brought to you by the letters F- I - S - H. Yes, the meme mistress's favorite DJ has provided a Top 5 topic today.
Top 5 songs to do a sexy Valentine's striptease to for your lova (yeah...that's lover... and you'd have to hear him say it to understand)
I'm afraid that my "lova" will have to wait a few days past Valentines' Day for his striptease. There's not much sexiness that can be done from a wheelchair. But come February 20...
Michael Schenker, This striptease is for you!
1. Three Fish Dancing - Michael Schenker Since the striptease was inspired by a 'fish', and it's for Michael... Besides, in this cold weather I'll be needing all 14 minutes of the song to take off all of the clothes I'll be wearing!
2. Sex Bomb - Tom Jones If Evengi Plushenko can strip to it, then so can I!
3. Rhythm Of Love - Scorpions Might as well strip to a song by Michael's brother, too...
4. Come Again - Damn Yankees Perhaps this song would be better played AFTER the striptease... Oh, well...
5. Too Hot To Handle - UFO 'Cos I just love stripping to the sound of Michael's guitar...
This whole experience has shaken me beyond belief. My self esteem, my values, everything.... I feel as though someone has taken it all and flushed it down the shitter!
But the truth has been revealed to me by my all time favorite person, THE MOODY BITCH! How could I have ever thought that one who obsesses over me so much could ever leave me...
Thanks to her great wisdom I now realize that these thirteen words describe me so much better...
1. What is your favorite main course to prepare? Back in the day when I had time to do such things, I was famous for my turkey lasagne. The recipe originally came from a box of Chef Boyardee lasagne, but I adapted it so much that the old chef himself wouldn't even recognise it!
2. What is your favorite side dish to prepare? Tossing up a salad is something that I still do find the time to do on occasion. If it's big enough, it can even be a main course.
3. Do you like to bake? If so, what is your favorite? In this cold weather, I like to bake just because it helps too keep the house warm! Baking cookies is always fun, and with all of the packaged mixes and prepared doughs that are available, there are plenty of shortcuts to use in making home-baked creations.
4. What one dish would you like to learn to cook? I've always wanted to make my own Mexican fried ice cream...
5. What is your worst cooking disaster? I once baked up a delicious batch of chocolate chip brownies for the folks at work. Everyone liked them so much that I decided to make them for our church's bake sale the next week. I did absolutely nothing that I can remember differently, but the bake sale brownies came out all hard and stuck to the pan. They could not be used...
10 songs that sum up your weekend...or were on your weekend playlist...and one picture that relates back. (oh, and if you feel like it, tell us why you picked the songs you did)
More random musical selections to relieve boredom... Sixteen days until sweet freedom....
1. Peaceful Easy Feeling - Eagles 2. Night Flight - Justin Hayward 3. Tell A Story - Michael Schenker Group 4. Dizzy Miss Lizzy - The Beatles 5. My Time's Up - Michael Schenker Group 6. Touch The Hand - Bryan Adams 7. Dancer In The Dark - The Rasmus 8. You're No Good - Linda Ronstadt 9. I'll Make Love To You Anytime - Eric Clapton 10. Baptized By Fire - Winger
Media Player was doing an excellent job of mixing things up this weekend!
And now for the picture...
It's Winger from last year's reunion tour. Kip Winger loves to play free concerts in Pittsburgh... on days when I am absolutely unable to get there!
