Hump Day Hunt
It's time for the weekly photo meme from the folks at Foto Pherrets
As summer draws to a close we begin to feel this in the air...
Our word for this week is:
Chill
If you have a picnic here you will definitely catch a chill!
~ How important are the lyrics to you when it comes to a song? I get off on guitars. A song with crappy lyrics can get by me if it has some great guitar riffs. Still, good lyrics and great guitar work are a killer combination.
~ Tell us some lyrical wisdom. My current favorite bit of lyrical genius:
"You can cover me with roses Put nickels on my eyes There'll be no tomorrow No more goodbyes..."
~ Phil Mogg ~ Sea Of Faith - UFO
~ Who writes the best lyrics and why? It's a toos up Between Phil Mogg (UFO) and Chris Logan(MSG). Both are masters of writing bitter sarcastic lyrics that beautifully compliment Michael Schenker's guitar work.

And now for the picture...
I saw I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry this weekend. It was a really cute movie with a nice message and of course, Adam Sandler ALWAYS gets the girl!!!!
Are you a completist when it comes to your favorite recording artists? (Meaning do you have to have everything they release even if its another best of compilation or something of that nature) Oh. yes! There is always the chance of finding a hidden treasure on those best of collections. Sometimes it's a new track, others it's a track that wasn't previously released in the U.S. Even if there is no new material, there are almost always photos!
Have you ever bought more than one copy of a certain album? If you did, tell us why. I have many duplicates in my collection. Some were bought because of bonus material on imported versions. Others were bought because I discovered them at flea markets or used CD shops and felt sorry for them...
Which bands make up the majority of your collection? How many CDs, Lps, cassettes etc? Hmmmm... The Scorpions hold the title for most material , 27 CDs, 1 vinyl album, 2 cassette tapes.
Do you buy an album from a band just because you like them or do you wait until you've heard it before making the purchase? I just buy it. If I like the artist, chances are that I'll enjoy at least one or two tracks, even if the album as a whole isn't that good.

Time for another Sunday shuffle provided by WinAmp...
1. Armageddon It - Def Leppard 2. Ride Cowboy Ride - Bon Jovi 3. We Built This City - Starship 4. No One Like You - Scorpions 5. Never Goin' Home - Wildhorses 6. Walk Away - Dokken 7. Wind Of Change - Scorpions 8. Falling In Love - Scorpions 9. Out In The Fields - Michael Schenker Group 10. Close To The Flame - H. I. M. Methinks that Starship feels a bit out of place in that mix!
And now for the picture...
