Top Five Songs That Have Had an Influence on Your Life

Yes, I've played with this week's topic, because entire albums don't influence my life, but the individual songs do!

1. It Was Almost Like A Song - Ronnie Milsap
Oh, the memories of high school chorus solo try-outs and my obsession with performing this song...

2. Heart Of Gold - Neil Young
One of the very first songs that I learned to play on my guitar, this one is permanently engraved upon my memory. Playing it in a park in Sevilla, Spain, I learned that Spaniards hate Neil Young. Something to do with a song called Cortez The Killer...

3. Wind Of Change - The Scorpions
The song that started my Scorpions obsession....

4. Got My Mind Set On You - George Harrison
When this song was released, my oldest son was about two, and he wanted to BE George Harrison. Somewhere I have a picture of him in a chair with my guitar, immitating George in the video. It took us forever to convince that boy that he was not George!

5. I Think I Love You - The Partridge Family
Don't laugh! I can remember "performing" this song for my class along with a few friends and calling ourselves "The Little Partridges". This was just the beginning of many years of musical obsession.
