1. Do you have a photo blog? If so, feel free to share the link with us! I have two photoblogs. Photographs And Memories is for photos taken with my various cameras. My T Mobile Album is for the photos that I take with my phone.
2. How many pets do you own, and what are their names? I don't own any of my pets, they own me!!! I am owned by four furry critters... Two kitties, Mew an orange tabby, and Princess P. P., a gray tabby. Two dogs, Lady who looks like a coyote, and J. J., a little white fluffy dog.
3. How many times a week does the carpet in your house get vacuumed? No carpet? How many times a MONTH do your floors get mopped? My floors get cleaned only when something gets spilled. Could be daily, weekly,or monthly, depending on circumstances. I'm such a slob!
4. Which room in your house do you spend the most time in? Why the computer room, of course!
5. Have you read any good books lately? Unfortunately no. It's been so hot, I have difficulty sitting still to read a book.
6. What is your biggest source of news? (Newspaper? Television? Radio? Other?) Since I spend a vast majority of my downtime in front of the computer, I get most of my news from the internet. Why buy a paper when you can get the news online for free?
10 songs that sum up your weekend...or were on your weekend playlist...and one picture that relates back. (oh, and if you feel like it, tell us why you picked the songs you did)
Since I saw Davy Jones in concert yesterday, he's going to be responsible for a lot of the songs on my list...
1. She Hangs Out - Davy Jones 2. A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You - Davy Jones 3. Daydream Believer - Davy Jones 4. (I'm Not Your) Stepping Stone - Davy Jones 5. Valerie - Davy Jones 6. Where The River Flows - The Scorpions 7. Forever And More - Michael Schenker Group 8. Action - Def Leppard 9. Wild Child - The Scorpions 10. Old Man With Sheep On Mars- Michael Schenker
As much as I love Davy, I needed my metal fix when I got home, hence the last five songs...
And now for the picture...
Davy Jones has always played a mean tamborine!

Daydream Believer
Woo hoo! Davy Jones made the trek across the Allegheny Mountain Range to play for his fans in western Pennsylvania. Yes, the Manchester born Monkee makes his home out in the eastern portion of our fair state these days.
Thirteen ways to beat the heat! (Caution, some of these are pretty off the wall!)
1. Windows down, stereo blasting, 65 mph!
2. Hire your own personal ice cream man.
3. Lie nekkid in front of a big ol' fan. I recommend this option only if you live alone...
4. Water balloon battles.
5. Visit The Borgata. It's like a refrigerator with slot machines!
6. Take The Pittsburgh Plunge at Kennywood (or other similar water rides at any amusement park).
7. Make slushies out of anything and everything that you can freeze.
8. Go ahead, walk through the lawn sprinkler...
9. Stare vacantly into the fridge, wondering what you are looking for... I do this all of the time, but it is very pleasurable on hot summer nights!
10. Take a long cool bath in "ocean breeze" scented bubbles.
11. Enter that "Jello Jump" contest being sponsored by the local radio station.
12. If you can't get to the beach, listen to The Beach Boys. It's the next best thing.
13. Call off work (or school) sick. With temperatures running so high, it's probably not too far from the truth!

Hump Day Hunt
It's time for the weekly photo meme from the folks at Foto Pherrets
Last week we searched for things so small...
Our word for this week is:
Tall
The PPG Building, my favorite tall building in Pittsburgh. I have an extreme fondness for this building. I watched it being built while I was in college.
Erm... When the mememistress seems to be directing comments at you, you're absolutely obligated to do the meme.
Observe...
The definition of cool.
We're talking Big Band, Swing, Jazz, Classical....whatever it is you listen to in hopes of taking your mind off the heat. Maybe the Beatles do it for you. Or Klaus and the rest of those German metalheads.
Whatever it may be, it's all up to you.
Artists. Songs. Albums.
Begin...
Artists A.K.A. Those German Metalheads
1. The Scorpions
2. Michael Schenker/Michael Schenker Group
And some lovely not German metalheads...
3. Def Leppard
Songs
1. Wild Child - The Scorpions 2. At The End Of The Day - Michael Schenker 3. Passion Rules The Game - The Scorpions 4. Coast To Coast - The Scorpions 5. Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard 6. The Mess I've Made - Michael Schenker Group 7. Three Fish Dancing - Michael Schenker
The Albums

2. Adventures Of The Imagination - Michael Schenker
3. Savage Amusement - The Scorpions
4. Hysteria - Def Leppard
What can I say? Killer guitar riffs send me off to a happy place where the temperatures are always perfect...
1. I won't eat past _____ o'clock in the evening. I didn't answer this one because my limits on eating are in the morning. I am by nature nocturnal. I seldom ever eat BEFORE noon.
2. My favorite subject for photographing isanything and everything. If I think that it is pretty or interesting, I will photograph it! Buildings, flowers, animals, rock stars, water...
3. I usePrint Shop Photo Promost often to edit my photographs. Actually, I use this program almost exclusively!
4. If I'm having trouble sleeping, I usuallywatch TV. Even when I'm not having trouble getting to sleep, I usually watch a show or two and fall asleep with the TV on.
5. When I'm hungry for a snack, I usually eatwhatever I find in the fridge.
10 songs that sum up your weekend...or were on your weekend playlist...and one picture that relates back. (oh, and if you feel like it, tell us why you picked the songs you did)
It has been a very busy weekend this week. Lots of places to go, lots of things to do. These are just some random songs that I recall hearing, either in the car, at the places that I visited, or on my Media Player...
1. Rose Of England - Nick Lowe 2. Starting Over - John Lennon 3. The Mess I've Made - Michael Schenker Group 4. Talking Out Of Turn - The Moody Blues 5. Our House - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young 6. That's Amore - Dean Martin 7. 22,000 Days - The Moody Blues 8. Stone In My Shoe - The Scorpions 9. At The End Of The Day - Michael Schenker 10.Soldiers Of Peace - Crosby Stills, Nash & Young
And now for the picture...
The summer flower show at Phipp's Conservatory was one of my many stops this weekend. It had a mythological theme, so they converted the fountain to a Medusa's head. Creepy!

Google Giggles
We all know that Google pulls words from pages containing its ads to select the material it uses in the ads. Mention music and you will be bombarded with ads for sites misleadingly claiming to offer free music downloads. So, why does my Last.FM page always seem to offer ads for Skechers?!
Oh! I get it! Michael Schenker is listed among my top artists... Schenker=Skechers

Who? Me?!
Isn't it SO amazing that the people at Blogthings can come up with quizzes to reveal that which is painfully obvious.
Note my latest results...
You're Totally Sarcastic
You sarcastic? Never! You're as sweet as a baby bunny. Seriously, though, you have a sharp tongue - and you aren't afraid to use it. And if people are too wimpy to deal with your attitutde, then too bad. So sad.
Every few years another line dance becomes popular. What line dances have you heard of and can you do any? There are so many... The hustle, the bus stop, the achy-breaky dance, the electic slide, the macarena... Kinda line dances, the hokey pokey and the chicken (bird) dance. Line dancing has never been my thing. I can hokey-pokey and do the chicken dance, perhaps do the macarena if I'm very attentive, the others...FORGET IT!
What is your favorite type of music to dance to? Oldies, today's music just doesn't cut it for dancing.
Do you have a favorite place to dance? Where? Alone in a room where no one can see me! Or someplace where everybody (including myself) is so drunk that they won't remember my dancing. (LOL)
Are you familiar with disco? Do you have any favorite disco songs or do you believe that disco should stay dead? I was born in 1961, so yeah, I'm more familiar with disco than I'd care to be. It was all the rage when I was in high school. BLECH! I'm glad it's dead, and I sincerely hope that it remains that way!
What bands do you think of when you think of dance music? I tend to associate songs with dancing more than any particular band or artist....
Old Time Rock 'n Roll - Bob Seger Mountain Music - Alabama Mony Mony - Tommy James Y M C A - The Village People
These are the first few songs that pop into my mind when I think of dance music.
In hindsight, what particular class in school do you wish you would have paid more attention to or taken more seriously? Twenty-six years later the honor student can still spout stupid facts that she learned in high school. If I took a class, I paid attention, and it stuck. I wish only that someone had encouraged me to take a typing class. I can't type for shit!
If your tastebuds could be altered so that the taste of any one food would be dramatically intensified whenever you ate it, what food would you choose? Hmmmm... Interesting question. I guess I'd choose lobster, since the flavor is so subtle and I eat it so seldom.
If you were an entry in the dictionary, under which word would people find you? I confess! The "Polish Princesses" were right! My picture would appear in the dictionary next to the word "horny!"
I shall be seen in November humping Michael Schenker's leg...
10 songs that sum up your weekend...or were on your weekend playlist...and one picture that relates back. (oh, and if you feel like it, tell us why you picked the songs you did)
I made a trip to my workplace this weekend, just to pick up my CD that arrived on Saturday morning. Was it something special? You betcha! The Michael Schenker Group's The Unforgiven.
1. Rude Awakening 2. The Mess I've Made 3. In And Out Of Time 4. Hello Angel 5. Fat City N. O. 6. Tower 7. Pilot Of Your Soul 8. Forever And More 9. Turning Off The Emotion 10. Live For Today
Plus two more to complete the album's track listing...
11. Illusion 12. The Storm
And now for the picture...
Mmmmmm.... Michael Schenker sure is pretty...

I Had To Do It
Anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that I am overly attached to my ols Nokia 3390 cell phone with its Wind Of Change ringtone. Why, then, did I place an order for an upgraded phone last night?
Sadly, my old friend is becoming more and more difficult to charge. Even after charging, the battery quickly goes dead. Unfortunately, it costs more to replace a battery than it does to buy a brand new phone. Damn, I'm going to miss that old thing. I tried replacing it once last year and ended up giving the new phone away, but its time has come...
~ sniff ~
This is the new phone that I ordered...
It's got more features than you can shake a stick at! It's a music player. It is a camera. It has capabilities for both AIM and Yahoo! instant messenger. Since it is a flip phone, I hopefully won't be making any more unplanned calls to my dear brother. Would you believe that I've never owned a flip phone before?!
I'm frightened by all of these added features, but this had to be done. Old faithful is ready to give up the ghost...
I only hope that there is a Scorpions ringtone for this new phone. I'll be lost without one.
Top five songs you're ashamed to admit that you like
1. Save A Horse, Ride The Cowboy - Big & Rich At least I think that's what it's called. My MP3 was not properly tagged...
2. Bad Medicine - Bon Jovi Even though so many of their songs sound the same, I've always liked this one...
3. American Idiot - Green Day Sorry, Andrea, but I like this one. It IS an Anti-Bush song....
4. Dance Of The Sugar Plum Faerie -TchaiKovsky Classical music on the metal head's list?! Hey, it make me have visions of Tetris pieces dancing in my head!
5. Could It Be Magic? - Barry Manilow I believe that I've confessed this before. I LIKE Barry Manilow. So sue me...
Sorry no downloads this week. It's late, I'm on dial-up, and as of yet the last two songs are not living on my hard drive.
