Yesterday's game had many interesting facets thay might not be noticed right away. Far example, did the Stones playing at halftime have something to do with the Steelers' victory? Consider this. One of The Stones' most popular albums was title Steel Wheels. The game was moving at a snail's pace until the second half, after The Stones performed their song Start Me Up. The Steelers' offense took off in the second half. It kinda makes me wonder.
There were also some unique quotable quotes last night as well.
Kicker Jeff Reed
When told of the wild celebrations going on in the city, his response was, "Let them celebrate all they want, as long as they don't burn down my house!
Super Bowl MVP, Hines Ward put a new twist to the "I'm going to Disney World" commercials.
When asked what he was going to do after the game, he responded with the typical, "I'm going to Disney World," but then added. "And I'm taking The Bus!"
Jerome "The Bus" Bettis
Very punny, Hines!
Congratulations go out to all of the players for a great season, and a great game. Finally Pittsburgh has the elusive "One for the thumb!"
I'll be off now, to go see Ben Roethlisberger have his beard shaved by David Letterman...
