The air around here is tingling with excitement. Everywhere you look, people are wearing their Steeler gear. It has been a long time since the glory days of the Steel Curtain Defense in the late 70's. One for the thumb in '81 never happened. The city of Pittsburgh hasn't seen a Super Bowl victory since January of 1980. This is the year that things are going to change! At 4:30 PM EST the Pittsburgh Steelers are taking their first step on what is hopefully the road to a Super Bowl victory. The city, hell, the whole Greater Pittsburgh area is psyched. Terrible Towels are waving. The chants can be heard... "Here we go, Steelers! Here we go!" We may all be crying in our beer later tonight, but for now I prefer to think that this is the year that the Steeler make their return to glory.
